Fall 2022
(12 x 9 in)
Black toned paper, color pencil
About the Project:
Developing spaces in a one-point perspective, two-point perspective, and atmospheric perspective drawings done in a variety of mediums such as ink wash, crow quill pen, and watercolor pencils. This is my two-point perspective piece.
Using black toned paper, I started with a thumbnail sketch to decide what colors I wanted to use. I wanted to keep a very limited palette so I used blue, white, terracotta, and a yellow pencil. Creating the variety of value, I started with light layers and built them up, blending the colors to create variety in texture and light.
This is also used as the starting point in my sequential narrative where I placed other elements on top to create the intro page.
